5. Reading text - Community centre notice 7 marks

Read the notice. There are 3 paragraphs. Each paragraph has a clear job.

🏢Green Lane Community Centre

Paragraph 1 - Opening information: Green Lane Community Centre is starting a free evening course for adults who want to practise English for everyday life. The course starts on Tuesday 14 July and runs for six weeks. Classes are from 6.30 pm to 8.00 pm in Room 3.

Paragraph 2 - Main details: Learners will practise speaking, reading short messages, filling in simple forms and writing short emails. Please bring a pen, a notebook and one form of ID. You do not need to buy a book. A volunteer will help new learners on the first evening.

Paragraph 3 - Final information: Places are limited, so please contact the centre before Friday. You can phone 020 5555 4280 or visit reception between 10 am and 4 pm. If you cannot attend the first class, please tell us as soon as possible.
